Jonathan presented his work on “C-H amidination of alkanes and polyethylenes” at the 28th French-Japanese Symposium on Medicinal & Fine Chemistry which was held at the University of Nice 1st to 4th of October 2023.
Dr. Arkadiusz Zych from the Italian Institute of Technology in Genoa joins us as a post-doc on a project in collaboration with the team of Prof. H. Cramail (LCPO, University of Bordeaux) in the frame of the PPM research program.

On the 19th of July, Shuai Liu defended his PhD thesis entitled “Radical-mediated C-H and Si-H Functionalization to construct C-C/C-N/C-Si Bonds” in front of a jury composed of Prof. I. Gillaizeau (U. Orléans), Dr. E. Magnier (U. Versailles Saint-Quentin en Yvelines), Dr. M. Donnard (U. Strasbourg), and Prof. B. Bibal (U. Bordeaux).
After the PhD thesis, Prof. Gillaizeau, Dr. E. Magnier and, Dr. Donnard gave stimulating lectures, respectively on enamides/ynamides, fluorine and organosilicon chemistry.

Our paper entitled “Iron-Catalyzed Oxidative Decarboxylation of Oxamic Acids: A Safe and Efficient Photochemical Route to Urethanes” has been accepted for publication in Synlett.

Clement Poittevin, currently a Senior scientist at OmegaChem in Quebec was interviewed. After a PhD in our group, he moved to the Deslonchamp group as a post-doc before to be hired by Omegachem.
in 2020 he won a prize for innovation in recognition of his work on total synthesis.
