Each year, our group welcome students at licence and Master levels, PhD and Postdocs (see list of former students).
PhDs and postdocs with their own fundings are welcome !
If you are interested by our chemistry, and want to know more about the subject we propose, or the available fundings (at PhD or postdoc level), please contact us via email :
Prof. Yannick Landais: yannick.landais@u-bordeaux.fr
Applications are invited for a one-year Postdoctoral training starting spring 2023 or soon thereafter. The position is open to all nationalities.
The general objective of this project is the development of a new methodological approach toward the synthesis of urethanes and polyurethanes foams from small heterocyclic precursors, avoiding the isolation of carcinogenic isocyanates. Our guiding principle will be the development of selective and mild free-radical processes, relying on cheap and readily available raw materials, making use of photocatalysis or electrochemistry to activate C-H and C-O bonds, to trigger the formation of the urethane linkage.
The candidate will hold a PhD degree in chemistry with a general background and a strong interest in organic and polymer chemistry. Knowledge of the fundamentals of radical chemistry would be welcome. He/she is expected to have a good practice of organic chemistry laboratory, experience in handling organometallic compounds under an inert atmosphere as well as in the application of a spectrum of diverse modern techniques (NMR, IR, MS,…).
If you are interested, please send a CV with a list of three references (including their address, email and telephone number) and a letter of motivation to the following address: yannick.landais@u-bordeaux.fr
Applications are invited for a master 2 studentship starting February 2023. The position is open to all nationalities.
Upcycling of polyolefin waste by C-H amination
